What is a summary

  A summary is an obective and compressed version of the original text.

 

 

 

Rules

 

  Content
  • Stick to what the text says.
  • Do not go for interpreting.
  • Avoid any personal or other comment.
  • Include only important facts, aspects, events.
  Language
  • Compress sentences.
  • Use infinitives, participles, gerunds.
  • Use linking terms.
  • Never use text quotations.
  • Use your own words and do not copy the vocabulary of the text.
  Grammar
  • Do not use direct speech.
  • Use present tense.
